Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful career supporting students by leveraging your expertise in school-based occupational therapy and speech-language pathology. This full-time, contract opportunity is available in the Chesterfield, South Carolina area, with immediate start through May 2027. You'll be stepping into a vital on-site position, replacing a virtual SLP and ensuring that students receive the in-person support they need to thrive. As a valued member of the school team, you'll collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to provide comprehensive services that empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals. Caseload details are forthcoming, ensuring you'll have all the information needed to succeed in your role.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
SLP-CCC with current, valid licensure for South Carolina Demonstrated experience in schools as an occupational therapist or SLP Strong understanding of IEP processes, compliance, and documentation Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with students, families, and staff Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic educational settings Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy and speech-language pathology services to K-12 students Assess, evaluate, and document student progress in accordance with school and state requirements Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of effective accommodations Offer coaching and guidance to teachers and parents for classroom integration of therapy strategies Make a meaningful difference in students' lives while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
