Driver's License Experience working with children LMHP Direct support Adolescents Working with individuals with mental health conditions Clinical documentation improvement Clinical confidentiality policies Working with youth Full Job Description oin Primal Point Health Primal Point Health is seeking a qualified, compassionate, and dependable Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist to support our Maryland Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program for Minors (PRP-M). The Rehabilitation Specialist will provide program oversight, support individualized rehabilitation planning, guide PRP staff, and help ensure that services promote resiliency, skill development, and successful community functioning for children and adolescents. Key Responsibilities Provide guidance and oversight to PRP direct-care staff. Assist with the development, implementation, and review of Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs). Monitor participants' progress toward rehabilitation goals. Review progress notes and other documentation for quality, accuracy, and compliance. Support rehabilitation interventions involving self-care, coping skills, social and family interactions, school functioning, independent living skills, and community integration. Coordinate with licensed clinicians, families, schools, and other members of the treatment team as appropriate. Participate in case reviews, staff development, quality assurance, and compliance activities. Help ensure services are person-centered, medically necessary, goal-directed, and consistent with Maryland PRP-M requirements. Required Qualifications Applicants must meet Maryland COMAR requirements for a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist serving minors , including: Minimum of 2 years of direct-care experience working with youth with a serious emotional disorder; AND Meet one of the following professional qualifications: Be a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) recognized under Maryland requirements; or Be certified by the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) and hold the applicable Children's Psychiatric Rehabilitation Certificate . Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a Maryland PRP-M or community behavioral health program. Experience working with children and adolescents with significant behavioral or emotional health needs. Knowledge of COMAR 10.63 and
COMAR 10.09
requirements. Experience with IRPs, clinical documentation review, staff supervision, or quality assurance. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and documentation skills. Additional Requirements Maintain all required professional licenses and/or certifications. Successfully complete required background and exclusion screenings. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and agency policies. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based services, when required. Why Primal Point Health?
