Companion aide position details:

We are hiring Per Diem companion aides to work in-person at any of the following senior living communities: Canterbury Woods at 705 Renaissance Drive, Williamsville, NY Canterbury Woods at 1 Gates Circle, Buffalo, NY Fox Run at Orchard Park at One Fox Run Lane, Orchard Park, NY Companion aide job duties include: Provide companionship through conversation, reading, and active listening. Engage clients in recreational activities and hobbies for social stimulation. Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment. Perform light housekeeping duties (dusting sweeping, mopping). Assist with laundry and linens (washing, folding, ironing). Provide transportation and additional assistance (appointments, shopping, social visits, other errands) using the resident's vehicle. Plan and prepare meals based on dietary needs/instructions and preferences. Assist with personal care supervision (bathing, toileting, dressing). Monitor and report changes in client condition or behavior. Accurately document services provided according to company policies.

Companion aide qualifications:

Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess a compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature. Must be at least 18 years of age.
