Full-Time Position Summary Emmanuel Clinic is seeking a dependable, responsible, and detail-oriented Cleaning Staff member to maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and welcoming environment for our patients, providers, and employees. Because this is a medical clinic, the cleaning staff member must follow appropriate infection-control and sanitation procedures and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize patient examination rooms, waiting areas, offices, hallways, and common areas. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including door handles, counters, chairs, light switches, and other high-touch areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms throughout the workday. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors as needed. Empty trash and replace trash liners throughout the clinic. Clean windows, doors, mirrors, and other appropriate surfaces. Maintain cleanliness of break rooms and employee areas. Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed. Monitor the clinic throughout the day and address spills, messes, or sanitation concerns promptly. Properly use and store cleaning products and equipment. Follow clinic policies regarding infection control, blood/body-fluid exposure, and handling of potentially contaminated materials. Immediately report spills, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns to management. Maintain cleaning supplies in an organized and secure area. Help maintain a professional, clean, and welcoming appearance for patients and visitors. Perform other reasonable cleaning and maintenance-related duties assigned by clinic management. Medical Clinic Safety Requirements The employee is expected to: Follow all clinic safety and infection-control procedures. Never handle needles, sharps, or medical waste unless specifically trained and authorized to do so. Never place hands inside trash bags or containers. Report any accidental exposure, blood spill, injury, or unsafe condition to management immediately. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Follow product labels and clinic instructions when using cleaning and disinfecting chemicals. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working around patients and staff. Work Expectations The successful candidate should: Arrive on time and be dependable. Maintain consistent attendance. Have strong attention to detail. Be respectful and courteous toward patients, providers, and clinic staff. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the workday. Be willing to follow instructions and clinic policies. Maintain the cleanliness of the clinic throughout the entire scheduled shift. Schedule Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM The employee is expected to remain available and actively perform assigned duties throughout the scheduled workday, including routine cleaning and maintaining the clinic as patient and staff needs arise. Compensation $11.00 per hour Pay is subject to applicable payroll deductions and clinic policies.
