Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an opportunity to make a lasting difference in a school setting by providing essential occupational therapy services as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This full-time, contract role offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators and compassionate professionals to support students in achieving their academic and developmental goals.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working with pediatric populations or within school environments preferred Knowledge of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and familiarity with intervention planning and documentation requirements in an educational setting Strong communication and teamwork abilities—able to collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and families Comfort with providing direct and indirect therapy, conducting group and individual sessions, and adapting activities for diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students as directed by an Occupational Therapist, supporting physical, sensory, and cognitive development Assist in assessments, implement treatment plans, and participate in the progress monitoring and documentation process Work closely with educators to integrate strategies in the classroom that promote student success and independence Support the development of fine and gross motor skills, self-care routines, and adaptive behaviors among students Contribute to ongoing communication with teachers, parents, and staff regarding student progress and recommendations Why Consider This Role?
