Job Description

Summary:
Our COTA provides in-home and in-center therapy for older adults on an ongoing basis in an effort to help regain or maintain their abilities to remain independent with ADL s and IADL s, range of motion, strength and interventions established by a treatment plan from the OT/L. This is a Mon-Fri daylight (7:30am-4:00pm) position. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the federal rate.

Required Education:
Successful OTA/L program completion approved by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Required Experience:
Minimum of one year working with the frail or elder population. Required Licensure/Certifications Current OTA licensure issued by the state of PA. Valid PA Driver s
License Required Skills:
Able to demonstrate clinical competency with the geriatric population. Initiative and resourcefulness. Discretion, tact, patience, and good judgment. Empathetic and compassionate attitude in caring for the elderly. Ability to understand & carry out non-technical verbal & written directions, record messages, & keep records. Ability to get along well with others and gain the cooperation of participants Physical and emotional ability to carry out assigned tasks Routine work involving the personal care and program activities of participants Neat appearance Proven record of excellent attendance Good organizational, time management and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt and be flexible About us: Community LIFE is a program of all-inclusive care for the elderly, committed to empowering older adults to remain at home while preserving their dignity, independence and quality of life.
