Mayfield Road, Arlington, TX 76015 Join Our In-House Rehabilitation Team Town Hall Estates Arlington is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated in-house rehabilitation department. We are currently hiring for both Full-Time and PRN (Per Diem) positions to provide exceptional occupational therapy services in our skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation facility. Working under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you'll play an important role in helping residents improve functional independence, restore daily living skills, and achieve their highest possible level of participation and quality of life through individualized, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, strength, coordination, balance, cognition, and overall independence. Provide therapeutic activities and exercises to address residents' physical, cognitive, and functional needs. Train residents in dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, feeding, transfers, and other activities of daily living as appropriate. Instruct residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, energy conservation, fall prevention, positioning, and the safe use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Monitor resident progress and communicate changes in condition or functional status to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Accurately document treatment sessions, resident responses, progress, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care conferences, and discharge planning as appropriate. Maintain compliance with state, federal, Medicare, and facility regulations. Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life throughout the rehabilitation process. Qualifications Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification in good standing. Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current CPR certification preferred. Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, long-term care, or geriatric rehabilitation is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply . Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to working with older adults and individuals with complex medical and functional needs. Pay:
