Pediatric Occupational Therapist Assistant

Job Description

About us K Kids Therapy PLLC is an out patient pediatric clinic located in Lindale, TX and is therapist owned. Our goal is to help families and children in a welcoming, loving environment. We work with a wide variety of diagnoses including developmental delay, genetic disorders, torticollis, ASD, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, and other birth injuries. We try to meet the children's needs in fun, creative ways and frequently offer special events to our clients. K Kids also tries to support each individual therapist's growth and attaining their professional goals. Join us in making a difference

Our work environment includes:
All needed equipment and supplies provided Innovative and creative work enviornment Multidisciplinary approach No travel required Individual treatment rooms as well as open gym space
Responsibilities:
  • Follow a treatment plan to provide therapeutic interventions incorporated in functional activities to promote independence and developmental skills
  • Educate parents/caregivers in home program to enhance child's function in their home enviornment
  • Collaborate with supervisor and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Other duties as needed including maintaining the clinic and supplies in an orderly manner.
Requirements:
  • Valid license to practice as a Occupational Therapist Assistant in Texas
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred, including sensory processing and neurodevelopmental treatment approach
  • Strong patient care skills and ability to establish rapport with patients of all ages
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use an EMR system and personal computer
