Job Description

We are a busy, multi-doctor ophthalmology practice currently seeking a full time ophthalmic technician to join our staff. This position requires at least one year of experience in the medical field. Ophthalmology/optometry experience strongly preferred, but not required. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Rooming patients, including noting all medications, checking vision and prepping the exam room for the doctor. Entering patient information into EHR
  • Refracting tech desired, but not required.
  • Performing diagnostic procedures such as visual field tests, Optos, retinal photos, Diopsys, pachymetry.
  • Working with pharmacies regarding patient prescriptions
  • Greeting patients, answering phone calls, returning phone messages. Other traits we are looking for:
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be a quick learner
  • Must have good verbal as well as written communication skills We are looking for a natural multi-tasker and detail-oriented team player who can work in a fast-paced environment.
