Our ideal candidate is self-driven, patient-centered, motivated, and reliable. This is a full-time position, with a pay range of $25-31 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Prior experience in the ophthalmic field is required for this position, with strong skills in imaging, patient work-ups, and refraction. •
REQUIRED
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as an Ophthalmic Technician with: Proficiency in imaging (OCT, visual fields, corneal topography, etc) Experience performing complete patient work-ups (VA, pupils, motility, IOP, dilation) Prior experience with refracting strongly preferred Duties include: Performing patient assessments while collecting and calculating diagnostic data Assisting with the administration of medication as directed by the physician Documenting patient interactions with our Ophthalmologists in the EMR Documenting patient demographics, medications, compliance, and complaints Providing patient education and service, including first-line responses to clinical questions and concerns Helping create a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for patients

Ophthalmology Application Question(s): Do you have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as an Ophthalmic Technician? This is a full time position. Are you available to work Monday - Friday? Are you proficient in performing manual refractions using a phoropter? Are you proficient in performing applanation tonometry using a slit lamp? Are you a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)? This position offers a rate of $24 to $27 per hour based on background and experience. Is this pay structure acceptable to you?
