We are looking for 1-2 ophthalmic assistants to begin as soon as possible. We prefer candidates who can commit to full-time, but part-time positions may also be considered. Applicant Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Fluent in verbal and written English Must be bilingual (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish) Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States Applicant Preferences Prior medical assistant training or experience Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records Interest in health sciences, medical profession, or working in healthcare Role Responsibilities Participate in patient care and clinical duties, such as triaging patients by obtaining medical/ocular history, preparing patients for dilation by administering eye drops, and assessing changes for visual acuity Perform diagnostic imaging, such as visual field testing, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and fundus photography Educate patients on eye health and treatment plans to promote understanding and adherence Assist with healthcare administrative tasks, such as verifying insurance eligibility and requesting medical authorizations from insurance companies

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
