We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmology Technician to join our small ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will assist our physicians in delivering high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic testing, patient assessments, and clinical support tasks. A strong background in eye care and a compassionate approach to patient interaction are essential. MUST be able to travel to the 3 locations (Boca, Palm Beach Gardens, and Stuart) each week. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and gather comprehensive patient medical history and document chief complaints Perform visual acuity testing, refractions, tonometry, OCT, fundus photography, and other diagnostic testing. Assist doctor during eye exams and in-office procedures, as needed Educate patients on procedures, treatments and post visit care. Administer eye drops of medcations as directed by physician Maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times Maintains and calibrate diagnostic equiptment Accurately input data into EMR system Assist with patient flow and efficiency Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience in ophthalmology or optometry setting Certified as a COA, COT, or COMT Strong customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and organization Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite, EMR Proficient in ophthalmic diagnostic equipment (OCT, Visual Fields, etc)
