This position plays an important role in providing excellent patient care before and after ophthalmic procedures while working closely with our nurses, physicians, and surgical team. Responsibilities include:

Prepare and assist patients before and after ophthalmic procedures. Provide compassionate, professional, and attentive patient care. Assist the nursing team with patient needs throughout the pre- and post-operative process. Monitor and communicate patient needs or concerns to the healthcare team. Follow established clinical and safety procedures. Maintain accurate and timely communication with nurses, physicians, and other members of the surgical team. Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment. Communicate effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications Prior medical office experience with a focus on ophthalmology or optometry is highly preferred. Knowledge of ophthalmic physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support clinical procedures. Experience operating ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment such as tonometers and A-scan devices. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems to accurately document patient data. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately while following aseptic techniques. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and established safety protocols. Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach. Ophthalmology or surgical experience is preferred but not required.
