We are currently seeking an outgoing, positive, organized, people-centric individual to work as an Optometry Assistant. We are willing to train the right candidate! This role supports our optometrists in a collaborative relationship to provide patients with the exemplary customer service and patient care that we pride ourselves on at Eyeconic View Eye Care. The Optometry Assistant is responsible for assisting the optometrist in the eye examination and corrective procedure.
JOB DUTIES
Greet all patients and visitors. Check in patients by verifying patient name and date of birth. Assist optometrist with collecting information from patient intake and review of systems forms. Maintain patient information in the Electronic Health Record system. Order and dispense contact lens trials for patients. Assist with patient pre-testing such as visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, retinal imaging, visual field testing, and pressure inside the eye. Ensure patient understanding of proper care and use of contact lenses. Verify and complete all necessary paperwork for patients. Serve as a liaison between the referrals department and the Ophthalmologist's office assisting with collecting the consultation notes and scheduling appointments. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. 1 year experience in an optometry practice preferred. Willing to train the right candidate. Experience with electronic health record software (Crystal) preferred.' '
