As an Optical Technician at Alma Optics, you will play a key role in supporting our optometrists by performing essential pre-exam testing, assisting with patient care, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming environment
Perform preliminary testing, including visual acuity checks
Record patient and family health histories
Verify eyeglass prescriptions and order contact lenses
Enter prescription medications accurately into the system
Additional Duties May Include:
Answering phones and scheduling appointments
Verifying insurance benefits (vision and medical)
Receiving payments for services and goods
Managing patient referrals
Completing various office tasks as needed
Work Hours:
Monday through Friday
Occasional Saturday mornings
Flexibility to fill in at other locations as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
