In this role, you will support the clinical and retail aspects of eye care, ensuring patients receive exceptional service from initial contact through eyewear dispensing. Your proactive approach will help streamline clinic operations, assist with eyewear fittings, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and regulatory compliance. This paid position offers a vibrant environment where your skills in optics, medical terminology, and customer service will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow Assist with eye examinations by taking vital signs, measuring visual acuity, and recording medical history in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies Dispense spectacle lenses and contact lenses accurately, ensuring proper eyewear fittings and adjustments for comfort and vision correctio Provide excellent customer service by explaining lens options, pricing, insurance coverage (HIPAA compliance), and retail sales opportunities Maintain detailed medical records while adhering to health regulation policies and state healthcare regulations Support retail operations Experience Prior experience in retail optometry or optical laboratory work is highly preferred Familiarity with health regulation policies ensures compliance and efficiency Experience with spectacle lens dispensing, eyewear fittings, frame adjustments, and optical laboratory procedures is advantageous Strong customer service skills Ability to handle sensitive medical records with discretion in accordance with HIPAA standards Previous clinic experience working with pediatric or senior care populations is a plus Join us in providing outstanding eye care while advancing your career in a lively environment that values your dedication.
