Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing eye care services to patients. This role requires a blend of medical knowledge, technical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities:

Assist ophthalmologists in conducting eye exams and diagnostic tests
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
Maintain accurate patient records
Educate patients on eye care procedures and post-treatment instructions
Sterilize and maintain ophthalmic equipment
Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up appointments

Skills:

Proficiency in ophthalmology procedures and terminology
Familiarity with medical office operations
Understanding of optical principles and equipment
Adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Strong anatomy and physiology knowledge
