Part Time Medical Assistant /

Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe Part Time:

Wednesdays and Fridays 8:00am - 4:00pm This is a perfect job for someone interested or in medicine or nursing, or for a stay at home parent who is looking for additional income and experience. Experience is a plus but not required - only a willingness to learn!

Job responsibilities:

Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner. Escort patients to testing area and exam rooms. Enter chief complaint, medical history, medications, and allergies in electronic medical records. Perform pre-testing for LASIK and Cataract Surgery consultations. Test visual acuity, administer eye drops, test intraocular pressure. Perform diagnostic testing including OCT, retinal photos, auto-refraction, and visual field testing. Assist physicians during the examination with supplies and electronic medical record documentation. Cleaning the patient exam room and equipment. Assisting with other office tasks including scheduling appointments, calling insurance companies for authorizations, and scheduling surgery. The ideal candidate has a friendly, positive attitude, enjoys helping people, and can work in a fast-paced environment. Interested candidates MUST reply with cover letter.
