Job Description

We are looking to grow our optical team. We are a busy practice and are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has excellent customer service skills. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a great group of individuals and jumpstart a career in the eye care industry! The optical industry is a fantastic mix of fashion, style and healthcare.
Duties include:
Assisting patients in ordering glasses, as well as adjustments and dispensing eyewear. Submitting eyeglass orders to appropriate labs. Inspecting eyeglass jobs upon completion and when received from lab. Allocating optical packages appropriately. Keeping the optical department organized, displays well merchandised and displayed. Lens fabrication (no previous experience for this needed, we will provide detailed training).
Requirements:
Ability to work all 39 hours the office is open. We are only open 4 days a week, closed on Thursdays, weekends and all major holidays. High school diploma/GED Reliable transportation A willingness to learn and be a team player. Previous experience in the eye care field would be great, but is not required. This is a great opportunity to become an apprentice optician and later a licensed optician. Since we are a smaller practice, please keep in mind the following: Opportunity for cross training and additional growth We do not offer health or dental benefits.
