  • Must-Have Requirements Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician strongly preferred Experience performing visual acuity and visual field testing Ability to measure intraocular pressure (tonometry) Knowledge of ocular measurements and eye muscle testing Strong patient care and communication skills Ophthalmic Technician
  • Position Summary Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Ophthalmologist Perform diagnostic eye testing and assist with clinical procedures Coordinate surgical scheduling and obtain prior authorizations Support cataract surgery scheduling twice weekly at the ASC Ophthalmic Technician
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct visual acuity (near, distance, pinhole) and visual field tests Perform tonometry to measure intraocular pressure Measure corneal curvature using keratometer or ophthalmometer Complete ocular motility testing for eye muscle function Obtain axial length and other anatomical ocular measurements Administer topical ophthalmic and oral medications as directed Obtain prior authorizations for surgical procedures Schedule cataract surgeries at ambulatory surgery center Maintain accurate patient documentation Ophthalmic Technician•Additional Qualifications Experience in ophthalmology or optometry clinic setting Familiarity with EMR systems Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment #LP1
