Optician experience is a big bonus! The position involves front desk tasks such as checking patients in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones as well as performing basic pretesting procedures for patients. Experience as a medica/dental receptionist or tech is preferred if no direct experience. The pretesting procedures are automated and training will be provided, if needed. Computer skills are required as our medical records are digitally entered. We are looking for someone who is capable and comfortable with customer service/patient interaction. We will consider candidates without experience if you have work experience that involves customer service specifically. If your work experience is unrelated to optometric receptionist/tech, please indicate why you are interested in this position and how your experience may apply to this position. We need someone who is able to learn quickly with training, is task oriented but able to multi-task, and has a friendly demeanor. Good skills for this position include: Multi-tasking Good communication - able to give patients instructions, phone communication Punctuality and professional demeanor Basic computer skills Basic math skills We are looking for 2-3 days/week with some flexibility regarding full or half day work. Occasional Saturday half-day may be needed. Compensation is dependent on experience.

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
