SummaryManages the team members in an ophthalmic physician practice with the potential of multiple office locations. Oversees clinical performance and quality improvement activities in the practice including development and implementation of protocols and standard work. Assists with overall practice operations.
Job DutiesMonitors patient flow and proactively balances patient needs and resource utilization. Supervises, directly or indirectly clinical opthalmologic support team members. Directs the orientation, assignment(s), learning, competency, and care delivery of the clinical ophthalmologic team members. Assesses the clinical needs of the practice in collaboration with the Practice Triad. Assists in development and implementation of policies/procedures/protocols/standards designed to facilitate improved care and promote positive patient outcomes. Responds to and resolves patient complaints, maintains a tracking mechanism for complaints, and operates a successful service recovery system. Manages clinical supply chain for medications and equipment in collaboration with the Practice Triad.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED 3 years experience in an ophthalmic office setting and 3 years experience in a management role. Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures. COA
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or COT
Certified Ophthalmic Medical Tech
State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree Physical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use,
patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
