Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)Action Group Staffing is seeking an experienced Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or an experienced Ophthalmic Assistant to join a busy and growing specialty medical practice in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. If you're passionate about patient care and enjoy working in a fast-paced clinical environment, we'd love to hear from you. Experienced ophthalmic assistants who are not yet certified are encouraged to apply. What You'll DoPrepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during patient visits.
Obtain patient medical history and document information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).Perform visual acuity testing, ocular screenings, and diagnostic testing.
Assist physicians with minor in-office procedures.
Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and instruments.
Clean, sterilize, and stock clinical areas and equipment.
Coordinate patient appointments and assist with scheduling as needed.
Cross-train to support front office operations when necessary.
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and all safety and compliance standards. QualificationsMinimum of one year of ophthalmology experience preferred.
Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred.
Experienced non-certified ophthalmic assistants are encouraged to apply and must be willing to obtain certification.
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office.
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
