Job Description

Optometric Assistant / Technician Cheyne Eye Center - Granbury, TX Full-Time | Monday-Thursday Cheyne Eye Center is seeking a dependable, personable, and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant/Technician to join our team. This is a patient-facing clinical position that works closely with our optometrists to prepare patients for exams, perform preliminary and diagnostic testing, document information accurately, and help the clinic run smoothly. Previous optometry or medical-office experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Our team goes above and beyond for our patients, so a genuine eagerness to learn and provide excellent care is just as important as a related background. What You'll Do Welcome patients and prepare them for eye examinations Review and document medical, ocular, medication, and surgical histories Perform preliminary and diagnostic testing as trained Explain testing procedures and help patients feel comfortable Enter test results and patient information into the electronic health record Assist the doctors and maintain efficient patient flow Clean, disinfect, and restock examination rooms and equipment Assist with contact-lens education and other clinical tasks as trained Support other areas of the office when needed What We're Looking For Strong communication and customer-service skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Attention to detail and accurate computer skills Ability to learn medical terminology, testing procedures, and equipment Ability to stay organized while working with multiple patients and priorities A professional, respectful, and team-oriented attitude High school diploma or equivalent Schedule This is a full-time position with a Monday-Thursday schedule. Applicants must be available during the practice's regular operating hours and for occasional meetings or training.
Compensation and Benefits Starting pay:
