Silo EyeCare is a brand-new, privately owned optometry practice opening in September 2026 , and we're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Optometric Technician to join our founding team. This is a unique opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up. What You'll Do As an Optometric Technician, you'll play a vital role in creating a seamless and welcoming experience for every patient while assisting the doctor in delivering high-quality medical eye care. Clinical Responsibilities Welcome patients and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit. Obtain medical, ocular, and family health histories. Measure visual acuity and perform preliminary testing.

Conduct diagnostic testing including:

Autorefraction Lensometry Non-contact tonometry Retinal imaging OCT imaging Visual field testing Additional specialized testing as needed Prepare patients for comprehensive eye examinations. Assist the doctor during examinations and procedures. Accurately document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR). Educate patients on recommended testing, treatment plans, and eye health. Provide contact lens insertion, removal, and care training. Clean, disinfect, and maintain exam rooms and diagnostic equipment. Help maintain inventory and clinical supplies. Assist with front office or optical duties when needed to support the team.
