Full-Time & Part-Time Join Our Team! Weslaco Eye Professionals is seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our growing practice. If you're passionate about helping patients and enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities Welcome and prepare patients for their eye examinations. Obtain patient medical histories and document information accurately. Perform preliminary testing, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, and other diagnostic testing as needed. Assist the doctor during patient examinations and procedures. Educate patients on eyewear, contact lenses, and treatment recommendations. Maintain accurate electronic medical records. Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and equipment. Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive patient experience. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records are a plus.
