Seeholzer Vision Center has been providing exceptional eye care to Cache Valley for over 75 years. We are looking to add an individual member who works well in a small team environment and has excellent communication skills. This individual will become the Doctor's technician and assitant for patient care. Tasks will include performing initial compents to eye examinations, handling all medical records with competence and complete confidentiality, and some cross training in optical and reception responsibilities. Individual will participate in Contact Lens training for patients and educating patients on prescription use as needed. You will expect to spend a lot of time interacting with patients ensuring their needs are met. Spanish speaking strongly preferred but not required. The position is full time. Our office assistant should expect to perform many different duties which can include the following: providing a high level of Customer Service scheduling and confirming appointments with patients entering and formatting electronically based medical reports and correspondence helping patients complete documents and medical history forms maintaining confidential medical history files working with a supervising Physician or Doctor to complete and submit medical records completing all administrative tasks efficiently and helping the Optometrist perofrm testing and educate patients on medication Pay is $16.00/hr. 5 days PTO and 5 days sick leave per year, each increasing annually. Benefits available after 6 months of employment include: Free annual eye exams and discounted materials. No medical insurance is offered.
