Job Description
Family Eye Care Center is seeking a part-time Optometric Technician to join our dynamic, fast-paced practice. Due to expanded doctor hours, we are looking for a career-minded individual who is passionate about patient care and eager to grow within the optometry field.
Pay:
$14.50- $16.
Job Type:
Part-time, Flexible Key Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrists with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform preliminary testing (visual acuity, tonometry, auto refraction).
- Educate patients on contact lens fitting, insertion, removal, and care.
- Maintain and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Manage inventory and order supplies.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and practice management (EPM) systems.
Qualifications:
- Excellent time management, multitasking skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with patients professionally and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Proficient computer skills; experience with EPM/EHR systems is a plus.
- Previous experience as a medical scribe or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Prior experience in an optometry setting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Pay:
$15.00- $16.
