Responsibilities Perform patient diagnostic testing, refraction, and intake procedures prior to the examination by the ophthalmologist or optometrist. Support ophthalmologists during examinations by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile environments, and documenting findings accurately. Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and post-procedure care while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Qualifications No medical experience needed.
