We are looking for an experienced, personable, and motivated Optician to join our team. Our practice combines comprehensive eye care, specialty services, and a large optical boutique. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping patients, has a strong sense of eyewear style, and takes pride in providing an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities Assist patients with frame selection and eyewear styling Recommend lens designs, materials, coatings, and other options based on patients' visual and lifestyle needs Take accurate optical measurements, including PDs and fitting heights Adjust, fit, dispense, and repair eyewear Troubleshoot prescription and eyewear concerns Verify prescriptions and finished eyewear using a lensometer Billing contact lens orders and patient needs Understand and utilize vision insurance benefits, including VSP and EyeMed Review eyewear pricing, insurance benefits, and patient responsibility Maintain an organized and attractive optical area Assist with frame inventory and merchandising Help maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the office Work closely with our doctors, technicians, and front-office team Provide outstanding customer service from the patient's arrival through completion of their eyewear purchase What We're Looking For Previous optical/optician experience strongly preferred Excellent communication and customer-service skills Strong attention to detail Comfortable recommending and selling premium eyewear and lens options Friendly, professional, dependable, and team-oriented Ability to multitask in a busy private-practice environment Knowledge of VSP and EyeMed is a plus Experience with frame styling, adjustments, repairs, and optical measurements ABO certification is a plus, but not required Why Join Our Practice?
