JOB DESCRIPTION

\nGENERAL

FUNCTION A

licensed Optician at Sunglass Hut will serve as an ambassador of the Sunglass Hut brand by delivering great service through the Sunglass Hut Experience. You will be an on-the-floor leader, filling ophthalmic sunglass prescriptions and fitting/adapting lenses and frames. In addition, you will be performing all functions related to the Sunglass Hut Experience and Store Operations to support and assist management in achieving sales goals., Including learning and maintaining knowledge of the policies and procedures for opening, closing, and operating the store.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome all customers, set expectations with customers\nCustom fit glasses & precisely place prescription in lenses\nActs as a leader in optical acumen\nTake & record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensure finished eyewear meets standards & customer needs\nAssists team with complex product needs & prescriptions\nAccurate & thorough use of technology despite time pressure & customer volume, exceptional product knowledge, use of appropriate tools\nProactively, explores root cause of issues, forward thinking, ensures customers are satisfied & expectations are exceeded, solution driven\nAbility to multi-task, prioritize & manage time with competing priorities\nStrive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs & competencies\nTake pride in store appearance, help to keep store clean, attractive & organized\nResourceful, self-motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement & results\nAdhere to company policies & procedure, including discounts, promotions & inventory management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate or equivalent\nState Licensure in Opticianry\nOptical dispensing experience\nStrong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder\nKnowledge of current store merchandise\nStrong basic math skills\nAwareness of current fashion trends\nSelling skills - ability to use & carry an iPAD/tablet\nFamiliarity with POS, computers & calculators\nEmbrace new technology & change
