Job Description
Our busy growing optometry practice is looking for an upbeat, positive minded individual to join our fantastic team. If you have terrific customer service skills, enjoy multi tasking, love a challenge and take pleasure in working in a fast paced, ever changing environment then we want to hear from you. We offer a pleasant and comfortable workplace setting, ongoing training and education, promotion of success, and welcome staff input and ideas. Understanding of basic computer and math skills is a must for this position. We're seeking an individual with excellent patient care skills. An upbeat personality and the ability to multitask are essential. Our opticians are fashion stylists who advocate for the best frame and lens options to suit each patient's lifestyle, occupational, sport and hobby needs. This is a fast-paced position with opportunities to learn new skills. We are looking to add a full time optician to our team. Our starting pay for this position is $18/hour. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. After 90 days of employment, we offer health insurance, vision exams for you and your family, a $500 hardware allowance, and much more! We are a smoke free health care provider. Preferred Qualifications (will train the right candidate)
- Retail sales experience
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Previous optical experience
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including EMR systems
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in patient care
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Familiarity with medical billing processes
- Knowledge of medical records management
- Strong mathematical skills for retail transactions
