Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Optitcian who is confident working independently and comfortable caring for patients of all ages. The ideal candidate is personable, engaging and detail-oriented, with a natural ability to connect with patients and create a welcoming experience. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys staying organized while thoughtfully managing multiple patients at once, and who can easily shift priorities to keep the day running smoothly for both patients and the care team. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on visual needs, lifestyle and prescription Provide expert guidance on lens options, coating and specialty products Perform accurate measurements (PD, seg heights, ect.) Adjust, fit and repair eyewear Provide education on contact lens inserstion/removal Educate patients on proper eyewear use and care Work independently whil maintaining excellent patient flow and experiance Coordinate with doctors and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care Manage optical orders, inventory and vendor communication Qualifications Previous experience as an optician required Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills Experience with lens cutting/edging equipment would be helpful Comfortable using technology and electronic health records Experience in an MD/OD or ophthalmology practice is a plus Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work with both pediatric and adult patients Organized, dependable and team-oriented
Pay:
From $40,000.00 per year
