Job Description
Eyewear Consultant Level 1 The ideal candidate for this position will be a team player, have a strong work ethic, and have strong interpersonal skills. This person must be innovative, enthusiastic, and driven to deliver a service experience that creates an outstanding patient encounter.
Necessary Skills:
Ability to speak well and engage professionally and personally with patients from all age groups. Must be comfortable with learning various types of technology, using the internet, websites, and electronic health records systems. Ability to multi-task and make quick decisions based on available information. Embrace a fast-paced environment and work efficiently. Show a strong willingness to help in any area of the clinic and learn new things. Ability to complete complex tasks involving multiple steps. Detail oriented personality is a must. Primary Duties Provide top notch customer service while helping patients find their perfect eyewear solution. Talking with patients to learn their needs and recommend the best lens options for their lifestyle and prescription. Helping patients choose their new eyewear frame considering the patients' face shape and size, prescription, and stylistic desires. Determining the cost of new eyewear and discussing that with patients. Taking custom measurements for fabrication of eyewear. Relaying all information about orders to the lab accurately. Adjusting, repairing, and troubleshooting eyewear. Working with vision and medical insurance to determine patient pricing. Working together with other team members to make sure orders flow through the system properly. Teaching patients how to insert, remove, and care for contact lenses. Opening and distributing all mail. Answering phone calls. Providing the best customer experience possible for every patient. Other Requirements Experience in optometry or ophthalmology is desired but not required, sales or medical office experience required Must be able to work 7:50am-5:30pm Monday
•Friday Must be able to work 7:50am-12:30pm a few Saturdays a month High school diploma or equivalent is required Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, stand and walk for extended periods of time, and to help patients in and out of chairs regularly.
