Perspective Eyecare is a well-established optometric office seeking an Optician for our Belleville office. We are looking for a responsible individual who is committed to providing excellent service to our patients, some of whom have been coming to us for over 30 years. Our ideal candidate would be confident, punctual, flexible, and eager to help our practice thrive. As for specifics, we are looking for someone to work approximately 15-25 hours per week including some Saturdays (until 2pm). You will be helping patients choose the best eyewear to fit their needs, so sales experience is a plus. We want you to work for the patient and not for the bottom line. We'd like you to have previous optical experience so you can hit the ground running, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Other responsibilities will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, validating insurance options, placing and receiving orders, and various other tasks. Commissions and bonuses are available after your probationary period. We'd like you to be willing to work 1-3 Saturdays per month, usually about five hours per Saturday. You'll have every Friday off and another day during the week. You'll wear jeans and a black shirt. You'll get a free pair of glasses or two every year, even if you don't need a prescription. We also offer healthcare coverage in the form of partial or full monthly premium reimbursement with a qualifying schedule.
