• Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients. This is a part-time position with up to 30 hours. The following is the required availability needed. There may be modifications to start times or end times to accommodate if the employee is needed for an opening shift or a closing shift.

Mondays:

8:00 to 5:30

Tuesdays:

OFF Wednesdays:

9:00 to 7:30

PM Thursdays:

OFF Fridays:

9:00 to 5:00

Saturdays:

8:00 to 2:00

Sundays:

CLOSED

• Duties:

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their prescription requirements and style preferences
• Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses
• Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
• Work closely with optometrists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
• Maintain inventory of frames
• Assist with sales of contact lenses

• Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of previous experience working as an optician
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient information confidentiality
• Familiarity with insurances and understanding both vision and medical insurance benefits
• Ability to take various optical measurements and understand how to make frame recommendations based on individual prescriptions
