Entry-Level (No Experience Required): $16•18/hour
Experienced Optician:
$18•22/hour ABO Certified Optician with
Management Experience:
$22•26/hour Compensation is based on experience, certification, and qualifications. Position Summary As an Optician, you'll help patients select eyewear that enhances both their vision and lifestyle while creating an exceptional experience from start to finish. Whether you're beginning your career or bringing years of experience, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for helping people. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on their prescription, lifestyle, and budget. Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear technology. Take accurate optical measurements. Adjust, repair, and dispense eyewear for proper fit and comfort. Process eyewear orders and communicate with optical laboratories. Verify vision insurance benefits and explain coverage. Maintain inventory and attractive optical displays. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with front office duties as needed. Work collaboratively with doctors and team members to provide outstanding patient care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous optical experience is preferred but not required —we are happy to train the right candidate. ABO certification is a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
