This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced OD or new graduate who is looking to practice optometry in a supportive environment with modern technology, a dedicated staff, established patient base and potential ownership (buy-out). Job Summary In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for a diverse patient population. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life by ensuring optimal visual health through thorough examinations and personalized care. You'll deliver exceptional patient care by leveraging advanced technology, including Clarus widefield imaging, OCT, and a full suite of specialty contact lens options. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, possesses strong knowledge of ophthalmology and physiology, and is committed to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Salary range is $115,000-$130,000 or 20-22% of production whichever is higher—supported by an established and growing patient base. The new candidate will be replacing a retiring doctor. We're open Monday through Friday so our team can fully enjoy their weekends. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function. Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, ocular diseases, and pediatrics-related issues. Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or referrals to specialists as needed to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens use, and preventive measures to promote long-term ocular wellness. Collaborate with optical staff to recommend suitable eyewear solutions and assist in sales efforts when appropriate. Follow aseptic techniques during examinations and procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program with valid licensure to practice as an Optometrist. Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to eye care. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and medical coding purposes. Strong clinical and communication skills. Familiarity with medical records management, vital signs measurement, and HIPAA compliance standards. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while managing multiple patient appointments seamlessly.
