Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and provide exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help improve vision and eye health outcomes while ensuring a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities Conduct thorough ophthalmic patient examinations, including visual acuity testing, tonometry, and diagnostic imaging using ophthalmic equipment. Diagnose eye conditions and disease states such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive errors through detailed ophthalmic diagnosis. Perform contact lens fittings and provide guidance on contact lens care and maintenance. Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and disease management strategies with clear client communication. Operate medical equipment safely and aseptically during examinations to ensure patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans, monitor vital signs, and oversee disease state management. Requirements Valid license to practice as an Optometrist with relevant state licensing requirements. Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry with strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Proficiency in ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment such as tonometers and other ophthalmic diagnostic tools. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, medical coding, and medical records management. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient care. Ability to operate medical equipment effectively while adhering to aseptic techniques. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Experience in disease diagnosis, treatment planning, contact lens fitting, and ophthalmic consultations is highly desirable.
