This role involves conducting eye examinations to detect and diagnose vision problems and other health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. Current License as a therapeutically certified Doctor of Optometry in the State of Massachusetts and current CPR certification. Residency training or three years of experience as a practicing optometrist in a community setting. Must have strong knowledge of eye care practice and standards of care to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; knowledge of the community we serve; ability to work effectively with health professionals at all levels in a collaborative team environment; effective communication and problem-solving skills. Duties Develops personalized treatment plans and prescribe corrective solutions like eyeglasses or contact lenses, as well as medication for eye disorders. Plays a vital role in educating patients about proper eye care . Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans. Delivers high-quality, pateint-centered care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical records at all times.

Qualifications:

Current License as a therapeutically certified Doctor of Optometry in the State of Massachusetts and current CPR certification. Residency training or three years of experience as a practicing optometrist in a community setting. Must have strong knowledge of eye care practice and standards of care to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; knowledge of the community we serve; ability to work effectively with health professionals at all levels in a collaborative team environment. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient record-keeping and documentation. Knowledge of disease state management including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and other ocular conditions. Excellent client communication and problem solvng skills with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.

Pay:

$120,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
