Burman & Zuckerbrod Ophthalmology Associates, P.C. Optometrists will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular disease, and participate in the co-management of medical and surgical patients. The Optometrist is expected to play an integral role in delivering high-quality eye care and educating patients on ocular health and disease prevention.
Expectations Perform comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages. Diagnose, monitor, and manage ocular diseases within the scope of optometric practice.
Evaluate and manage patients with:
Glaucoma Dry eye disease Age-related macular degeneration Diabetic retinopathy Cataracts Other anterior and posterior segment disorders Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract surgery patients. Be an integral part of delivering our new technologies including top of the line cataract lens enhancements and dry eye management. Collaborate closely with ophthalmologists in the co-management of glaucoma, retinal disease, cataracts, and other complex ocular conditions. Interpret diagnostic testing, including OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, pachymetry, and corneal topography. Prescribe and manage corrective lenses and contact lenses as appropriate. Educate patients regarding treatment options, disease management, and preventive eye care. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team culture. We offer an excellent benefits package including
