Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometrist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care and vision services. In this engaging position, you will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and provide personalized treatment plans to enhance patients' visual health. Your expertise in ophthalmology, medical diagnosis, and patient care will help improve quality of life for diverse patient populations. Duties Perform detailed ophthalmic patient examinations, including visual acuity testing, tonometry, refraction assessments, and ocular health evaluations Diagnose eye diseases and conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and other ocular pathologies using ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment Develop and implement treatment plans, including contact lens fitting, medical treatments, and disease management strategies Operate medical equipment safely and accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems, maintaining accurate medical records and coding for billing purposes Provide patient education on eye health, disease prevention, contact lens care, and treatment options with clear client communication skills Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals during consultations to ensure comprehensive patient care Experience Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry with a strong background in ophthalmic diagnosis and eye examinations Hands-on optical experience including contact lens fitting and use of ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and anatomy to accurately interpret symptoms and diagnostic results Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and medical records management Experience in disease state management, including chronic eye conditions such as glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patients of all ages, including pediatrics, ensuring excellent customer service and patient satisfaction Understanding of healthcare diagnosis procedures, medical coding practices, and HIPAA compliance standards Join us in making a difference by providing expert eye care that transforms lives! $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
