Optometrist Duties:

Practice full scope Optometry as determined by your license and state laws Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with eye disorders, diseases, and injuries Provide routine vision and eye health examinations Prescribe eyeglass RX Prescribe and fit contact lenses Assisting in diagnosis and treatment of more complex eye disorders, diseases, and injuries Advise patients on proper eye care and hygiene Train others in proper eye care techniques Stay abreast of current professional literature, technology, and techniques used in

Optometry Optometrist Responsibilities:

Perform refraction testing and manual optical measurements Supervise work performed by ophthalmic technicians and assistants Provide visual eye examinations and diagnoses Referrals, mutual patient letters, diabetic exam letters Perform other related duties as required Order testing as needed

Requirements And Skills:
