Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including detailed eye examinations, diagnosis of ocular conditions, and personalized treatment plans. Your expertise will help improve patients' vision and overall eye health while ensuring exceptional patient care and satisfaction. Responsibilities Conduct thorough ophthalmic patient examinations utilizing ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment and tonometry to assess eye health and vision status. Diagnose and manage a variety of eye conditions, including disease states such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive errors. Perform contact lens fittings, adjustments, and follow-up care to ensure optimal fit and comfort for patients. Operate medical equipment safely and accurately, including ophthalmic diagnostic tools, medical records systems (EMR/EHR), and ophthalmic imaging devices. Provide patient education on eye health, disease prevention, treatment options, and proper contact lens care. Document all patient interactions meticulously within EMR/EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient management and refer complex cases as necessary. Qualifications Valid licensure as an Optometrist with relevant state or regional licensing boards. Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with proficiency in ophthalmic diagnosis and medical treatment knowledge. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and disease states related to eye health. Experience operating ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment, tonometry devices, and other medical equipment essential for eye examinations. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical records management and documentation. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient care excellence. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of medical information. Ability to perform detailed ophthalmic patient examinations while maintaining aseptic techniques during procedures such as contact lens fitting or ocular diagnostics.
