$80,000 - $100,000 per year Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist to join a growing healthcare team in Kearney, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will provide personalized orthotic and prosthetic care, helping patients improve mobility, independence, comfort, and overall quality of life. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys patient-focused care, clinical collaboration, and working with a variety of patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical and biomechanical evaluations. Determine appropriate orthotic and prosthetic interventions based on individual patient needs. Design, fit, adjust, and modify orthotic and prosthetic devices. Ensure devices provide proper functionality, comfort, and fit. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop patient-centered treatment plans. Educate patients and caregivers on device use, maintenance, and care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. Follow appropriate safety, infection-control, and aseptic procedures during fitting and fabrication. Stay current with advances in orthotics, prosthetics, biomechanics, anatomy, and related technologies through continuing education. Qualifications Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist certification from an accredited organization. Post-residency experience in orthotics and prosthetics. Demonstrated experience with device fitting, adjustment, and modification. Strong ability to perform patient assessments and functional evaluations. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and orthopedic devices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Pediatric experience and knowledge of pediatric biomechanics are highly preferred.
