Job Summary Join the North County EMS team as a Paramedic dedicated to providing rapid, expert medical care in critical moments. In this vital role, you will respond to 911 calls, deliver advanced pre-hospital emergency treatment, and coordinate seamlessly with hospital teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Your expertise in trauma, cardiac emergencies, pediatrics, and airway management will make a life-changing difference for those in urgent need. Responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to emergency calls, providing advanced life support and critical care interventions on scene and during transport Assess patient condition through thorough physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and detailed patient assessments Manage airways effectively using advanced airway management techniques and equipment to ensure proper ventilation and oxygenation Administer medications, injections, and IV therapy following protocols while maintaining aseptic technique Operate medical equipment such as defibrillators, ventilators, and monitors with precision during emergency procedures Collaborate with incident command teams during complex emergencies or multi-casualty incidents to coordinate response efforts efficiently Document all patient interactions accurately, including medical history, treatment provided, and vital signs, ensuring compliance with protocols Transport patients safely to appropriate facilities such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized pediatric units while providing continuous care en route Skills Extensive critical care experience with a strong background in trauma medicine and emergency response procedures Proven hospital experience across emergency rooms or intensive care units, demonstrating familiarity with acute patient care environments Skilled in triage processes to prioritize patient needs effectively in high-pressure situations Level I and Level II trauma center experience highly valued for handling severe injuries and complex cases Proficient in airway management techniques including intubation and ventilation support Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and trauma care principles essential for accurate assessment and treatment Experience with pediatric emergency care, neonatal resuscitation procedures, and injection administration Ability to operate various medical devices such as DME (Durable Medical Equipment), venipuncture tools, and vital signs monitors Strong understanding of incident command protocols during large-scale emergencies or disasters Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, prolonged driving, urgent care delivery, and physically demanding tasks required in emergency response settings Join us if you're passionate about saving lives through expert medical intervention!
