Critical Care Transport Paramedic

Job Description

What We Offer:
The Critical Care Paramedic provides high quality patient care and safe medical transport to sick and injured patients in all age groups. Uses an interdisciplinary model to work with the AirLink/VitaLink Staff Nurse and other appropriate medical personnel to establish and prioritize a plan of care. This plan of care for each patient will be consistent with approved treatment protocols, policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required. Completion of an accepted EMT-Paramedic program, required.
Experience :
Current FP-C or CCP-C certification with at least three (3) years of paramedic experience in a paid EMS system. OR In the absence of FP-C or CCP-C certification, a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Critical Care Transport paramedic. Licensure /
Certifications:
Current North Carolina Paramedic or Nationally Registered Paramedic. Current NC Paramedic required to perform direct patient care, required. Current Basic Life Support, ACLS, and PALS certification, required. Advanced trauma certification and NRP required within 6 months of hire, required. International Board of Specialty Certifications (IBSC) Flight Paramedic (FP-C) certification or Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) required within 2 years of hire date. Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Candidate must be eligible to obtain South Carolina Paramedic certification. Paramedics assigned to flight duties must maintain dual certification in North and South Carolina. Current and valid driver's license (if from out of state, must obtain valid NC license within 30 days of hire). Must meet general hospital driving requirements. EVO is required to drive during emergency situations. Must be 19 years of age with zero points on driving record.
