Description

Employee will perform duties associated with providing emergency medical care to the sick and injured.

Individual will answer ambulance and rescue calls calmly, efficiently and promptly.

Administers life support care to sick and injured persons in a pre-hospital setting as authorized and directed by physicians. Rescue and extricate victims of accidents, sudden illness, or physical entrapment using proper rescue and medical technique.

Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional resources.

Administer treatment to the patient at the scene and enroute to the hospital in accordance with the training set forth by the PA Department of Health and the Medical Directors of Area Medical Command Hospitals.

Candidate must complete patient care forms, insurance forms, HIPPA forms, and evaluation forms on all routine and emergency calls in a competent and timely fashion.
