Full Time, 40 hours, 1st shift,
Monday-Friday Position Summary:
The Women's Recovery Navigator, will be a self-identified woman in recovery who has maintained a minimum of 2 years sobriety, will deliver comprehensive outreach and engagement services including education, advocacy, coaching and mentorship to pregnant and parenting women choosing to work with a navigator, will have the willingness to share lived experience to help other women in their recovery journey, to act as a "boundary spanner" to link clients to essential community services and to demonstrates "cultural curiosity" and willingness to deliver services in a culturally responsive manner. Working within Adult Services, the Family Recovery Navigator works with our Women's REACH program staff to provide essential outpatient services to families and adults facing mental health and substance use complexities.
Requirements:
High School Diploma and successful completion of a recovery-oriented training program (within 2 months of hire). If previously completed, must provide documentation of such program. Valid Connecticut Driver's License Regular and predictable attendance is required Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
