FUNCTIONS

An employee in this classification is required to perform some or all of the following duties, however these do not include all of the tasks which the employee may be expected to perform: Assist individuals in completing online forms as needed; Communicate with Clinical staff and FIPA staff to ensure coordination of care; collect signatures on intake forms and disclose fee/insurance related information; close cases with expired authorizations; obtain authorizations as needed, communicate with primary physician for referrals; outreach and transportation assistance for individuals served; comply with Alcohol & Drug Testing Policy (06-001-0010) and Background Check Policy (06-001-0015), as well as supervisors/designee directives; maintain confidentiality. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills Education High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate Licensure Valid Michigan Driver's License Experience/Skills One to two years' experience in job related field Knowledge of Medicaid and private insurances Demonstration of ability to use Word software and Windows Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to type proficiency Other If using DOT vehicles, passing random drug and alcohol screening Behavioral Skills Applicants chosen for interview will be evaluated on qualifications related to: Ability to exercise discretion in selecting an optimal solution from among established alternatives which have differing costs and consequences.
